Character Builders is now pleased to offer a joinery service from their new workshop. All types of work undertaken; windows, doors, bespoke kitchens of all sizes and styles, barn conversion joinery, individual pieces of furniture, bedroom furniture, staircases and conservatories. Our experienced craftsmen will work with you; from initial ideas to the creation of a high quality finished product. Local and sustainable suppliers of wood used where possible. The renowned Character brand quality extends to each piece of joinery which is made with care, and fitted and finished with pride. Character Decorating can also provide a complete decorating service.

We make traditional windows of quality, built from plan or from our own on–site survey. All shapes, sizes and finishes can be catered for. We also produce wooden staircases from your own technical drawings or we can design and build staircases which meet with building regulation.  We also carry out sympathetic repairs to staircases and can renew handrails and banisters etc. We are also able to offer kitchens; each kitchen is bespoke, and we undertake projects from single cupboard requests through to full kitchen refurbishments.  Alongside the above we make fitted furniture, wardrobes, cupboards and shelving units which maximise the space available but complement the style of your home. Again, we can work from your plans or offer advice and ideas for design. Another aspect of our joinery work is the creation of conservatories. All our conservatories are made from either treated softwood or hardwood. We can build any shape, style, size or configuration. We are also able to provide bespoke purpose made joinery for every aspect of your barn conversion and newbuild.

We are able to offer a full skill base in terms of joinery refurbishment - all styles and finishes can be copied or repaired.

Unusual and individual pieces can be commissioned.
